Fete de laMusique

Expect plenty of dancing in the city streets next month as Brisbane
City Council gets ready to lead Australia with a ‘Fete de la
Musique’ celebration of music and culture to remember.

The free one-day multi-cultural, multi-community festival of music will
be hosted at a variety of different venues and performance spaces across
the city for the very first time on Saturday 21 June.

Join Lord Mayor Campbell Newman and Alliance Française Director, Damien
Hubert, at the Fête de la Musique Brisbane Media Launch at the Queen
Street Mall Stage from 12noon on Monday 19 May.

With performances from:

* Former Australian Idol, Bobby Flynn
* Brisbane band, Yolande and the Sea
* Local singer-songwriter, Jackie Marshall
* The Chapel Hill State School Choir
* Roving Latin musicians
